DOCUMENT SPECIALIST – SYRACUSE



Title: Document Specialist

Work Schedule: Dedicated shift, minimum of 40 hours. Hours will vary based on client demand and team member coverage as needed.

Positions Available:

  • Entry Level, Full Time, Night Shift, Monday-Friday

Major Function and Purpose: A document specialist supports the daily operations of copy production, print production, scanning and finishing work. A document specialist is mainly responsible to produce client requested work in the most efficient and profitable manner possible while always exceeding expectations and meeting client deadlines.

Supervisor: Production Manager

Supervises: None

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce client requested projects while following all production SOPs
  • Manage projects in a timely manner so production deadlines can be met
  • Learn to operate and maintain all production equipment
  • Properly track all job totals so billing can be accurate
  • Quality control projects to ensure desired results
  • Communicate to Production Manager supply or equipment needs
  • Communicate project issues with Production Manager so they can be handled appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client materials
  • Assist in office to office meet ups when required
  • Keep production area in tour condition at all times
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times without exception
  • Positive attitude towards other team members, clients and vendors at all times

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities needed:

  • Basic math and computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of Adobe software is preferred
  • Great communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passion for producing quality work
  • Valid driver’s license

OUTSIDE SALES – CLEVELAND


Title: Outside Sales Representative

Work Schedule: First shift, minimum 40 hours. Hunt time is considered between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and farm time is considered outside of that. To truly be successful in sales, you will need to spend time in both hunt and farm time.

Major Function and Purpose: The Sales Representative is both a hunter and messenger for Avalon. He/She is out on the road each day meeting potential clients who are looking for a document services partner as well as finding out what else we can do for existing and aging clients. The Sales Rep drives revenue while keeping the company informed on what’s working and what’s not based on his/her interaction with potential and existing clients. The selected individual will cover the Cleveland market while specializing in our AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and General Contractor) services.

Supervisor: VP of Sales/Managing Partner of Cleveland

Supervises: None

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales by meeting with prospective and existing clients in the AEC market
  • Communicate feedback of aging buyers to VP of Sales
  • Cold calling and lead generation
  • Follow up with assigned aging buyers
  • Meet/exceed daily and weekly activity standards
  • Meet/exceed assigned revenue goals
  • Sell AEC services from inception to delivery
  • Continually read books on and expand selling techniques
  • Maintain and track sales activity with in-house Mission Control software
  • Follow up with quotes
  • Positive attitude towards other team members, clients and vendors at all times

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities needed:

  • Previous sales experience preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • General computer knowledge and abilities
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, deadline driven
  • Minimum high school education, some college preferred
  • Passion for the sales “game”

Avalon provides comprehensive training and solid leadership. Your personal growth and success are very important to the senior leadership team. Avalon offers competitive pay, commensurate with experience. However, experience is not necessary as we do offer paid training. Compensation includes a base salary plus commission. A benefits package is available after 60 days of service which includes paid vacations and sick time, health, vision, dental insurance, and a 401K with match.
